VYS TVRestoring the original home screen
Everything VYS TV changes on your TV can be reversed. The app keeps your TV's original and makes backups itself, so you can always return to an earlier state.
Which backups there are
- The TV's original: on the first connection the app makes a backup of how the TV was, before VYS TV. It is always kept and cannot be deleted.
- Automatic backups: before a change the app itself makes a backup of how things are at that moment. The latest ten are kept.
- Your own backups: under Backups you make a backup with a name yourself, for example before you rearrange the layout. The latest twenty are kept.
A backup contains all profiles with rows, texts and photos, plus which apps are off or removed.
Back to the original
- Open the VYS TV app and connect to the TV.
- Under Set up, at the backup of the original, choose Back to original.
- Confirm. The old home screen, the apps and the settings return to how they were before VYS TV, and VYS TV is removed.
Before this step too, the app first makes a backup of how it is now, so you can go back later.
Restoring another backup
Under Backups, choose Restore at the backup you want. Profiles, layout and disabled apps return to how they are in that backup. If VYS TV has been removed from the TV in the meantime, the app reinstalls it if needed.
After a system update
Some TVs restore their own home screen during a major system update. No need to worry: your layout and profiles are still on the TV. Open the app, connect to the TV and tap Optimise TV speed.

Questions
Will I lose apps or data with Back to original?
No. Apps the app turned off are turned on again, removed components come back and the old home screen becomes the home screen again. Your own apps simply stay on the TV.
Can I delete the backup of the original?
No, it is always kept, so that Back to original can always return exactly to how the TV was.
Where are the backups stored?
Per TV on our server, so they are also kept if VYS TV disappears from the TV. See the support page and the privacy policy.
